Day 5: Really-very-much-amazing totally-not-creepy colored-by-sunlight maybe-the-best-ever day (+ some pancakes!) (PHOTO) (CLICKBAIT) (August 1)

This morning we woke up staring at the other campers’ beautiful drooling faces, while they were desperately trying to kill our hibernation. Fortunately it worked, and a few minutes later we were all making Lions T-shirts for ourselves with a template. In the meantime, those who weren't occupied with shirts were making lots of different made-up creepy-looking Pokémons out of clay. When they finished some of them started a clayfight. It was really funny and after it all the people who were involved were covered with grey crusty material from head to toes. The shirts have dried later during the day and now, after ironing, we can finally wear them!

After the lunch we had some well-deserved free time, which we spent in various ways. Some were sleeping, and the others were having fun while making music, creating country presentations or playing volleyball. That was also a great chance to get to know each other a bit better, and to talk about our cultures and differences.

But the thing we were waiting the most was planned for after the dinner – the river cruise! We went to the center of Loimaa by bus, and there a fleet of four barbecue-boats was waiting for us. We got new sailing gear – shirts that had ‘captain’ or ‘crew’ written on them. Those roles became true once we boarded the boats – those who were ‘captains’ got to handle the steering! Just kidding, we all got a chance to try ourselves as river captains. We took some beautiful photos and had lots of fun posing for them.

TI-TI-TI-TI-TI-TITANIC!

Radiating with hotness

Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream!

Then suddenly, in the middle of our ride, it started raining. A lot. While desperately looking for an umbrella or a raincoat we at first missed the beautiful rainbow that was developing! When we noticed it, it was already a bright double half-circle roaming through the cloudy sky. You could have almost touched it, it felt so close and bright. Who knows, maybe if we tried a bit harder we could’ve found that mystic pot of gold.

We came back to our base exhausted and hungry, but full of beautiful emotions and memories. We were getting ready to go straight to the bed when we noticed Anniina working by a grill-looking machine in front of the kitchen. Little did we know – she was making us some delicious strawberry pancakes! Oh, they were so refreshing, and the timing was just perfect. It was an excellent ending for such a beautiful and colorful day.
